Physical Description

The dark wood stock is crudely shaped like a European gun with a very shallow and straight butt. There is no butt cap. The triggerguard is roughly forged from iron and screwed to the underside of the stock. The lock is superficially like those of an India pattern mucket with a ring-necked cock, but much more crudely made. On the plate is the mark of an elephant facing to the right. The barrel is European, octagonal at the breech becoming round and marked with two crowned and crossed sceptres marks and the number ú) at the breech. It is held into the stock by nine ratten bindings finished with circular designs underneath. The ramrod is iron.
