Physical Description

A square section steel tube, with lobes at either side for nails. The red wax seal, on a square of black fabric, is attached, as are the original sealed pattern tag and the resealed pattern tag.

Inscriptions and Marks

The standard pattern tag is creased and faded almost to illegibility, but its first recorded issue is to R Craddock in 1939. The resealed tag is for catalogue no. 8465-99-975-6734 (CY3314), dated 14 June 1971.
