Physical Description

Muzzle shaped for spike bayonet, and foresight block with pierced protectors pinned in place. Full-length upper and lower handguards with nosecaps retained by a band. Barrel band carries the front sling loop. The rear upper handguard is grooved from front to back. Standard No. 4 action, with early-type adjustable ladder backsight. Back sling loop on the underside of the stock. Brass butt plate with trapdoor. Steel is finished blue. With canvas sling.
