Physical Description

The blade is double edged and double curved, with two long, deep fullers running most of its length alongside a medial rib, and with two additional short fullers near the hilt. The hilt is of ivory, made in two pieces separated by a brass washer. It is carved in the form of an arm clad in a three-buttoned shirt, the pommel formed by a fist clenched around a lotus flower. The smaller piece of ivory, forming the guard, is carved with a dagged border, representing the cuff of a coat. The thumbnail of the hand is slightly chipped.
