Physical Description

Screwless lock, with mechanism sandwiched between two external plates. Lockplate flat with bevelled edge, fitted with a guard around the pan. Ring-necked cock with pierced top-jaw screw fitted between the exterior plates. A two-pronged toe is attached to the forward side of the rear plate for hooking into a mortise in a gun stock. Single internal mainspring acting on both the tumbler and the pan cover.
