Physical Description

The broad scabbard is of wood, covered in rather bright green velvet having the seams oversewn with silver braid. It was originally fitted with a chape and thoat mounting in silver, both of which are now missing. Some details of the embossing of these mounts has been retained by the shellac with which they were attached.
