Physical Description

A large sporting gun powder flask, with a design of hanging pheasant in a cartouch surrounded by rope netting on one side, and rope netting design on the other, and acanthus leaves radiate out a short way from the base. Open type spring with a graduated nozzel for 3, 2.75, 2.5, 2.25 Drams delivery. The spring and nozzel unit unscrew for replenishment

G & JW HAWKSLEY SHEFFIELD is stamped on top of the spring support, and a number of small dents exist on the reverse panel
