Physical Description

General Type Description: Cast brass hilt, with ribbed grip, and elongated lion's head pommel, the mane extending slightly on to the back-piece; stirrup-guard pierced with long slit for sword-knot; rear quillon slightly inclined towards the blade, with ball finial; shallow shield-shaped langets. Slightly curved, saw-backed blade, terminating in double-edged spear point, with a false edge for the final third of the blade.
