Physical Description

Lockplate with ring neck cock and incised border lines. Stamped on the tail is the date 1813 and o the belly the East India lion rampant. The wooden stock is fitted with a steel ramrod with long stirrup swival and brass furniture

This weapon was sold by the EIC to the Board of Ordnance probably in 1813. It was issued in the 1820's to the Northumberland and Newcastle Volunteers (NNV), Company E no. 12. (E12).
