Physical Description

With remains of plating. Flat, nickel-plated steel cross-guard, expanding towards its centre and with rounded sides when seen in plan, and centrally pierced by a rectangular hole. A pair of fairly long, tapering, round-tipped langets extend from the centre. The finials are spherical with a stand shaped like a reel.


Condition when catalogued, April 2000: Extensive surface rusting and losses to the nickel-plating.
