Physical Description

The necklace is composed of three ropes of gold tinsel thread linked together to form flexible square chains. They are joined at intervals to round fabric balls covered in plaited gold tinfoil strips simulating kernels or pine cones. There are four such balls in all and a fifth with a conical shape at the centre, each bordered with tinsel tufts. Three have bundles of gold tinsel thread leaves and flowers suspended from them, two at approximately shoulder level, and one at the centre.
