Physical Description

The breech consists of a screw-plug beneath the barrel. Barrel stamped with government proof marks and rifled with eight grooves. Folding backsight with brass slide pierced with an aperture, mounted on the breech-strap. Back-action lock with ring-necked cock engraved with scrolling foilage and with the royal cipher.
Brass mounts, the scutcheon plate engraved with a shield bearing the royal arms, crowned and surrounded by the Garter. Screw plate shaped and engraved as a winged dragon.
