Physical Description

The skull is made in two pieces joined by a reinforced riveted seam at the front and rear. At the apex is a gilt plume holder, and at the front a peak. Around the base of the skull is a gilt band retaining fragments of a blue silk covering or neckguard. The helmet is decorated with corals, turquoises and dark blue stones, in gilt settings.
