Physical Description

The tree is of wood covered with coarse canvas. At the front is a high pomel, sloping down to either side. At the rear is a high cantle, curving forward to either side. The pommel and cantle are covered with blue velvet, a piece of blue velvet is associated probably as a seat. The tree has been cut back at the lower edges of the cantle. A leather strap is attached at either side of the cantle for attaching the crupper plaes of a bard.
