Fired from the anti-aircraft station on Gresham College during the bombardment of London by German airship at 10.30 p.m., September 8th 1915. This case is the first shot in history fired against a foreign enemy in the City of London. The Curator ot the Armouries, Mr. Charles J. ffoulkes, was in command of the station at the time.
