Physical Description

Made entirely of one piece of steel, the javelin has a long tapering quadrangular spike terminating in a double boss, the upper part chiselled as a bud. Below this is a round shaft with simple ring mouldings, a grip with prominent mouldings at either end, and finally a further length of round shaft. The weapon terminates in an octagonal butt-spike of octagonal section, with mouldings and a large bulbous knop.

Dimensions: The overall length is 2185 mm, the length of the spike being 780 mm. Weight: The weight of the weapon is 1.55 kg.
