Physical Description

A wall gun of large size with hinged chamber, released by a steel lever mounted on the left side of the square section receiver. The breech hinges at the rear. a percussion nipple is mounted at the rear of the chamber, which is provided with a forked lever to assist with the loading operation. The barrel is round and slightly tapered to the muzzle. the lock is a back-action type. The stock comprises a wooden butt, only with no other woodwork fitted. A hinged steel spike is mounted on two lugs just forward of the breech housing.A simple blade and V notch front and rear sight are fitted. The whole rifle is finished in the white.
