Presented 27th April 1987. Recovered from the wreck HMS Albion.

Physical Description

Waterlogged gunstock. The lock is missing, all that remains is a portion of the frizzen spring in a very corroded condition. The stock has survived quite well and stamped into the right side of the stock is an indistinct mark. Of the furniture what survives are the following; the buttplate and one screw (with the remnents of cloth attached.); triggerguard; the rear and middle ramrod pipe. The remains of the wooden ramrod are evident in the rear of the ramrod channel. The barrel is entirely missing.
