Physical Description

The upper part, of rectangular form, is stepped to accommodate the base of the leather strap, which is retained by four rivets with square internal washers. The lower part has a keyhole slot to a rough point at which there is a rivet with a square internal washer, retaining, on the inside, a complete, but torn, prehensible leather strap by means of which the keyhole slot was fitted over a stud on the breastplate. Each of the edges is bordered by a double incised line decoration. Three or more scales are missing from its upper edge, including that for the attachment to the backplate.
