Physical Description

The dagger is fitted with a curved blade with a low medial ridge each side, the sharpened area being different on each edge, the convex being shorter. The blade is fitted into a wooden hilt that extends into blunt quillons below which is a brass band tht fits over the mouth of the scabbard. On the outer side this band, abd the inverted U shaped pommel, are covered in sheet silver decorated with scrolls and foiliage. The scabbard is of heavy brass, with three longitudianal facets on the back. The front is extensively decoarated in foliage and flowers and three silver panels. The end of the scabbard is curved around and finishes in a knop.

Dimensions: The length of the blade is 217 mm, the overall length being 367 mm. The length of scabbard being 236 mm. Weight: The weight of the dagger is 0.2 kg. the weight of scabbard being 0.25 kg.
