Physical Description

The blade is double edged and triangular, with an armour-piercing tip. It is of lozenge section, overlaid at the base and up the lower part of the medial ridges with silver decorated with flowers. The haft can be divided in two, using a screwed joint at the middle of the central hand-grip. This section, and those at the base and near the blade are of flat silver, decorated with geometrical floral ornament. The main portion of the haft is of heavily embossed silver, decorated with floral scrolls. At the top of this section are two knops, and at the bottom three large knops, with a moulding below. The butt section has a waisted moulding, and a very small butt spike.
