Physical Description

The black lacquered stick is fitted with mounts at each end of an alloy that has patinated to a pale brown. Both mounts are engraved with a mon of two addorsed cranes. There are holes, proteced by shakudo eyelets, in both mounts. Attached by a strip of blue shobugawa is a tassel of white paper.

Dimensions

Dimensions: The length of the stick is 342 mm and the tassel is 330 mm. Weight: The saihai weighs 0.1 kg.
