Physical Description

The head has a central square section tapering spike below which there is a shoulder onto which slots a crescent of two wide curved blades of diamond section. The socket at the centre has a square section with a lozenge shaped facet cut out of the front and back edges. It is secured onto the central spike with a thick brass diamond shaped collar.
Below the head the neck is incised with a single horizontal line below which it forms a polygonal waisted shaft supported on a faceted annular moulding. This decoration is repeated again before the shaft widens to form a cylindrical socket.
The haft is plain and of light coloured wood with a brass collar riveted around the base.
