Physical Description

The complex head has a long tapering quadrangular spear shape that narrows into a hexagonal bar pierced for two lozenge section bars that have at their outer ends a lozenge section crescent shaped side-blade. Below the side-blade the head is forged into an octagonal baluster section above a moulding, a further facetted section, another moulding and then a long tapering socket. The head is fitted onto a round stained wood shaft.
