Physical Description

The haidate is of the type known as iyo haidate, of fairly large lacquered rawhide plates. These are sewn onto a fabric base covered with a pale blue damask silk with a key fret design. The interior is of brown hemp. The edges are oversewn with a green silk braid and the waist belt is of plain pale blue silk.

Dimensions: The total length of the item is 490 mm, the width of each armoured section being 310 mm. Weight: The weight is 0.4 kg.
