Physical Description

A paper pack containing four combustable cartridges comprising a buff paper cartridge, rolled around a thin card body. The top is sealed by means of a thin waxed piece of string, whilst the base is twisted closed, the twist being pushed up into the base of the cartridge. This could then be readily torn off to facilitate pouring the black powder into the muzzle of the rifle
