Physical Description

Three-quarter length portrait of a gentleman, in a red coat, facing three-quarters left and standing in a leafy landscape. He is wearing a wig of c1730, has a cravat loosely knotted with the end pulled through a button-hole of his coat and is carrying a flintlock gun, with a crimson and gold adjustable carrying sling over his left arm. The hilt of a sword is visible at his side.
