Physical Description

Steel barrel octagonal at the breech and flaring slightly at the muzzle. Lock with dog-catch, the flat lock-plate engraved with the Royal Cypher and the name of the maker and the date, WOLLDRIDGE 15. On the inner side together with viewer’s and other marks appears the name of the engraver, CASLON. Cock missing. The flat butt-plate and single ramrod pipe are brass, the trigger-guard steel.
