Purchased from the Great Exhibition of 1851. From Lahore.

Physical Description

Comprising a hood and crinet for the head and shoulders of the horse, with holes for the eyes and ears, and a central one for the plume from a bridle worn underneath; and a large section for the body of the horse. The armour is constructed from butted iron and brass mail worked in a trellis pattern. The two sections are mounted on crimson canvas edged with crimson velvet and lined with printed chintz. It is furnished with no visible means of attachment to the horse.
