Physical Description

A slightly bowed rectangular plate, it has an incised line near the edge of one of the longer sides. There is a circular rivet in one corner which retains fragments of leather underneath it. One of the shorter ends, opposite the rivet, has a rough edge where it may have cracked off from a larger piece. May be from a Model 1804-7 Cuirass shoulder strap as many accompanying pieces are from cuirass armours.
