Physical Description

It has a medial ridge and a flange at the waist. At either arm is a brass half-mushroom headed stud for the shoulder straps. The neck, arm and side edges have outward flanges, flange edge has a plain inward turns, with 6 brass lining rivets. At the centre of the waist is a brass mushroom headed stud for the waist belt. The exterior is bright.

Inscriptions and Marks

Stamped on the outside side edge is stamped 272, while at the inside neck is stamped 934. Inside of the waist is a cursive inscription, M(anufacture)re Imp(eri)ale de Chat(aurault) Juillet 1835 2eme taille largeuer extra No 934.
