Physical Description

It has a deep cut-out at the neck, shallow arm-openings and a medial ridge terminating just above the inward angled wast, which has a flange that deepens towards its center. The neck opening is outward-flanged. The arm-openings, the sides, and the waist flange have plain inward turns. The edges were originally bordered by thirty-four large, brass-rivets of which the two at each shoulder may have originally been of flat-headed form, and the remainder are of high round-headed form. All four shoulder rivets are now missing, as is one on either side below the arm opening. At either side of the chest is riveted a mushroom-shaped brass stud to engage the shoulder straps of the back plate. Bright with scratches around the medial ridge.
