Physical Description

Engraved illustration of 'Blood and his Accomplices making their Escape after stealing the Crown from the Tower of London'. Three thieves leaving a stone-walled room, the cupboard in which the crown was kept is shown with its door open on the right, the body of Talbot Edwards with a mallet beside it on the floor. Enclosed in an ornamental engraved frame, signed 'Lodge Sculpt.' Extracted from Skinners 'History of London', 1796; mounted on card and badly discoloured.
