Physical Description

Oil on canvas. Three-quarter length, with a breastplate worn over a buff coat and over all a red, gold-laced uniform coat with blue facings and cuffs. Round the neck, the Order of the Bath and across the chest the ribbon of the Garter. The right hand holds a baton, left hand rest on sword-hilt. Battle scene in right background. On the left, standing on a table, is a plain Greenwich helmet, with a white plume.
