Physical Description

Flat bevelled lockplate, the tail deeply chiselled with acanthus and with some very light engraving below the pan. The pan itself is facetted , the square topped frizzen being lightly grooved on the face. The swan necked cock is also flat faced with bevelled edges and is lightly engraved with foliage.
Is of light walnut with simple scrolled silver wire inlay. Most of the forend is covered with embossed and chased sheet brass that extends underneath as a false ramrod. Gilded brass butt-cap en suite with the other embossed items, with separate plates of brass extending up the back of the grip to the barrel tang. Around the grip is a binding of twisted brass wire.
Is of round section with chiselled arabesques and three logitudinal ribs. There is some flush wire inlay.


Dimensions: The overall length of the pistol is 512 mm, the length of the barrel being 330 mm. Weight: The weight of the pistol is 0.7 kg.

On the breech of the barrel and oval punched mark of a tree between two indecipherable elements.
