On hilt: '4' over 'DG' over 'D' over '22' over '240'.On inside/outside of blade: squiggly mark.On back of blade: 'B'.(Photograph (neg. no.A3/5001(18A)) apparently shows a 'P' or similar mark, on the outside of the ricasso; this might be the squiggly mark mentioned above. PJL)
