Physical Description

Steel, originally bright but now corroded, consisting of a pair of quillons and arms of the hilt with integral quillon block/sleeve. The quillons are circular in section with downturned flattened lobate finials having a facetted steel stud fitted on each face. The forward quillon has an integral ring formed on the upper edge of the finial fitted with a losse steel split ring for attachment of a beaded knuckle guard. The quillon block/sleeve has diagonal fluting on its inner and outer faces and upon which are fitted two vertical parallel rows of six facetted steel studs
