Physical Description

The hiilt bears a pommel of almost square 'cats ear' form, with hemispherical swellings on each face. The cord- bound grip is a modern replacement. The horizontally recurved quillons are of S-shape with very short ecusson. A (makers?) mark is stamped on one quillon (the letter 'F' within a square)..
The straight two-edged blade bears a short ricasso and shallow fuller. An unidentified makers mark is stamped in one fuller, on one face of the blade, at the 'forte'.
