Found in the Lanthorn Tower, Rm 4, 30/07/1990.

Physical Description

Of brown leather, consisting of two trapezium-shaped pieces, double stitched at the sides and open at the ends for the scabbard to pass through. Two straps with square brass buckles are attached to the outer faces of the trapezium, their ends forming a V . Each strap has 5 holes punched through it, and fits through two leather loops. There is a brass stud attached to the centre of the outer face of the V. A brass D-ring is attached by a stitched leather loop to the top (as worn) of the inner face of the trapezium
