Physical Description

The blade is double edged with a medial rib and an angular curve. The hilt is of waisted form, of amber giraffe horn, the pommel cap and two rivets decorated with rosettes of twisted silver wire and rings. The guard has a silver ferrule with bands of punched ornament. The scabbard is of wood covered with antelope hide, crudely tooled at the front with panels of cross hatching. The wooden scabbard liner is covered at the throat with red silk.
