Physical Description

General Type Description: Straight, brass stirrup-guard, shield-shaped langets, and rear quillon with disc-finial inclined towards the blade; back-piece and pommel in one, with raised, shaped section around the tang-button. Ribbed, wooden grip, shaped to the hand, and covered with fish-skin.


Very slightly curved (almost straight), unfullered blade, with ricasso, and terminating in a clipped point.


Variations, losses, damage, etc: No serious losses or damage.

Inscriptions and Marks

On outside of blade, on ricasso: crown (?).
