Physical Description

Hilt: Agate grip, hilt otherwise of silver, consisting of pommel, knuckle-guard, shell-guard turned towards and lying parallel with the blade, and short quillon; chased with strap-work, foliage and the figure of a horseman (in a cartouche on the shell).


Straight, tapering, two-edged blade etched and gilt for its whole length with, from the base: a sphere on a stand, a sun, a dear, a profile bust, a dear, a COMPL. decorative panels.
