Physical Description

A finely made bronze barrel mounted upon a wooden truck carriage. The barrel is relatively unadorned except for astragals and fillets. The vent has no vent patch. There is some evidence to suggest that the barrel was once painted black and traces of the paint still exist on the barrel. The carriage is meant to represent a sea service carriage. It consists of two cheeks and two transoms. Facing the breech the left cheek has the cypher of George III painted upon it. On the right check the letter N and the number 1. On the face of the front transom is an anchor symbol
