Physical Description

Very broad neck opening. Shaped to the shoulders and spine, fitted with a deep, narrow, waist plate with a flange cut with a large scallop at either side of the centre. Finely roped inward turns. The left shoulder has a rivet hole for a strap; the right is broken off, and pierced with two small holes. Blued.

Inscriptions and Marks

Stamped at the neck with a Augsburg fircone, an indistinct mark IV or TVT ???, and possibly the Habsburg Arsenal mark of a triangle over a square.
