Provenance

Bowyer Tower AS 37 (1991). It was found associated with III.3967 (lower cannon).

Physical Description

For the left arm. It comprises a turner, a upper cannon and a couter.


The turner is composed of three lames. It completely encircles the arm, on the front is a turning pin for attaching to the pauldron.


The upper cannon rotates on the turner and is made in one piece.


The couter comprises three plates. The main plate completely encircles the arm.


All the main edges have plain inward turns, while all the subsidiary edges are bordered by a double incised line. Bright.
