Physical Description

Typical kukri blade with a short fuller near the back and slightly hollow faced towards the point. Near the hilt is a deep plain semi-circular notch. The hilt is of wood covered with a piece of red velvet loosely wound with twisted silver wire. The pommel is of white metal.

Dimensions

Dimensions: The length of blade is 382 mm, the overall length being 515 mm. Weight: The weight of the dagger is 0.6 kg.

Notes

Hewitt records it as being similar no. xv 364 (XXVID.7) which also had a sheath containing smaller knives. Hewitt and Dillon both describe it as mounted in silver.
