Physical Description

The head is forged in one piece and has a crescent shaped cutting edge, the lower point of which is curled. The eye for the shaft is circular and the blade is balanced by a square hammer face. On either side of the blade is a chiselled cratouche containing and inscription in Arabic. Towards the base of the blade on either side is a panel decorated with deer amid foliage. On the hammer face are two birds like partridges.

Dimensions: The length of the head is 123 mm, the width across the points being 100 mm. Weight: The weight of the head is 0.3 kg.
