Sword officers pattern 1822 with gilt brass gothic hilt and pipe back blade. Through the guard on the right side of the blade protrudes the turn-off barrel of a percussion box-lock pistol with a folding trigger, the right of the breech engraved with a trophy of arms and JONHSTON, NEWCASTLE STREET. Grip with shagreen covering
