Found in Middle Flint, Cup'd A8, 30/07/1991. Moved from Lanthorn Tower, Room 5, Cup'd 17/e, 20/06/1990. Presumably missed by Valuation Team when they registered the similar X.4608 in the same location 14/12/1988. Label formerly attached (now on inv. file) reads: '? F.H. Cripps-Day Gift, Not in Inventory'.

Physical Description

All ferrous metal, straight, conical scabbard for dagger. Of D-shaped section. Flat back with scroll decoration and two suspension loops crossing in saltire. Curved front, partly pierced, and divided into three roughly equal panels decorated in relief with figures in 17th century costume against a background of scrolls. There is a ball finial at the bottom.
