Physical Description

The breastplate has a raised neck, a medial ridge and a narrow flange at the waist. The arm and neck edges have plain inward turns. At either side of the chest is a rivet hole for the missing mushroom-headed studs for the shoulder straps. The breastplate is of duplex construction, the layers folded over at the sides. The exterior is bright. The centre of the flange is damaged. Mean microhardness outer 277 Hv, inner 195 Hv.
